Elaina's Birth

Elaina was born in Kenora Ontario, Even though we live in Winnipeg Manitoba.
You See I was Due December 21-2005 but that day came and went. The next day I went into labour!
but not untill that evening, you see I was getting so upset that I did not go into labour yet and I really wanted to go back to my home town for Christmas as most of my family lived in Kenora, I was really looking forward to Christmas supper at Nanny's. I wanted Turkey, and Cherry Cheese Cake. You see we only get Cherry Cheese Cake once a year and thats Christmas!! Anyways.. My Friend Drew came to vist me on December 22 and out of no where I looked at him and asked hey do you think your mom will mind if me and Andrew catch a ride back to Kenora with you guys? He said I dont think that she would mine so as soon as Andrew got back from his travels I looked at him and said pack your bags we are going to Kenora. He asked me for how long and I said about a week. He then asked me well what about the baby, then you'll have her in Kenora. You see I was very adement on having her here in Winnipeg and NOT having her in Kenora. But I wanted to go home for Christmas so bad that I said I dont care if she is born in Kenora, its where she is raised that matters the most! So when Drew's mom came back to my place we asked her and she said that was fine, But if I were to go into labour on the way there that she was going to kick me out of the car and leave (She said this as a joke). Well I think that she jinxed me!! Cuz' not even 20 minutes out of the city I started to have contractions they weren't that bad they were 20 minutes apart untill we were half way to Kenora then they were 10 minutes apart I did not tell anyone that I was having contractions cuz I was not 100% sure if thats what they were but they were starting to hurt the closer we got to Kenora. By the time we got to Kenora they were still every 10 minutes or so, but I thought that they were slowing down. about an hour after we got to my Nanny's, I had a contraction and it was a painful one she looked at me and said "Keyra are you in labour?" I looked at her and said "I don't know, but I think so." She phoned my mom and made her come and pick me and Andrew up to go to the hospital to get checked because I was over due. they checked me and I was 2cent. 100% thinned out! but the contractions were not regular and they sent me home they said that I would more then likely not have her till the next afternoon So Home we went at 10:30ish pm by 11:30 I had to call my mom again to get her to come pick us back up. Contractions were only 3 minutes apart! By the time that we got to the hospital they were every 2 minutes! Then at 2am my water broke, When my mom got back from her smoke I looked at her and said "I pissed my pants or my water broke!" she got the nurse to check and sure enough it was my water. They checked me again at 02:30am and I was 5cent. By this time I was screaming for my sister Robyn, but my mom did not want to call her at her parents in-laws I Screamed CALL HER NOW and screamed out the number so she did. just as she arrived they gave me a shot of demoral (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and by 03:15 I said to my sister "I need to push!!" she got the nurse to check me and sure enough it was time to push. Robyn then looked at her Husband Jason and said hurry go get my mom! (outside having another smoke) I was so glad that my old family doctor from Kenora was on call in the ER that night so he got to deliver Elaina, by 03:36 She Arrived!!
Everyone including myself thinks that I just relaxed as soon as I got back home and thats the reason why I had her so quickly. Even the doctor said that. Elaina was 7lbs 10z
